What’s FMEA

The abbreviation for Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. FMEA is a risk analysis to find causes and solutions. It is used to indicate prioritization for the defects that occur.

Why an FMEA?

With an FMEA you investigate whether a product or a process can possibly cause errors. By investigating the possible failure of a product or process, you can take measures in advance to prevent this, by lowering the chance of the errors or reducing the impact of the occurrence.

Write down what could possibly go wrong for each process step. Describe what happens to the customer and process when the error occurs. Assess the severity of this effect Identify the causes of the error.
