Thesis

Today, companies involved within New Product Development projects constantly face the challenge of being faster, better and cheaper. Co-development in early phases of these projects can have positive impact on new product manufacturability which can lead to lower product costs, better quality and shorter production lead time. The Knowledge Sharing Centre is a great initiative to stimulate this inter-organizational collaboration and the emergence of newly bilateral contacts. It facilitates brainstorming and knowledge sharing without forcing participants to unnecessarily reveal intellectual property. To my opinion this is exactly the environment which is needed to create and stimulate open innovation. Therefore, I believe that the Knowledge Sharing Centre is a great added value to this region.
